Give Miami Day

WHAT IS GIVE MIAMI DAY?

Give Miami Day is an annual giving movement uniting community-serving organizations – big and small, new and established – to celebrate and increase generosity in Greater Miami through online giving. Give Miami Day helps raise awareness about the critical role these organizations play in our community and inspires all of us to discover and give to causes we care about. Together, we are creating a thriving and stronger Miami for all.

Founded in 2002 as the Honey Shine Mentoring Program by Tracy Wilson Mourning, Honey Shine has grown beyond a mentoring program. Currently, there are three empowerment components: Camp Honey Shine, Aspire to Shine Workshops, and an After-School Program. Honey Shine provides a plethora of enrichment activities, including, a six-week summer camp for enrolled participants each year. Exposure trips, webinars, workshops and other enrichment activities are offered to the girls, who are affectionately called ‘Honey Bugs’.
