MIAMI, FL, May 13, 2017 – It was all about the “Time to Shine” at the 15th Anniversary Hats Off luncheon and fundraiser supporting Honey Shine, Inc., on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at the Loews Miami Beach Hotel.

On the eve of the 2017 Mother’s Day weekend, Honey Shine, Inc will celebrate 15 years of character development and mentorship in South Florida with the annual Hats Off Luncheon and Silent Auction.  The 2017 theme,  “Time to Shine,” will celebrate the organizations mission and showcase the diverse talents of the young girls involved in the organization with a fashion show and luncheon.  Proceeds from Hats Off will benefit, Camp Honey Shine Summer Enrichment program at the Carrollton School of the Sacred Hearts in Coconut Grove, FL and annual character development programs that Honey Shine, Inc offers young girls enrolled. The 15th Annual Hats Off Luncheon will be held on Saturday, May 13, 2017, beginning at 10:30 AM with a Silent Auction and VIP Reception.  Luncheon and fashion show will begin 12:00 PM at this year’s host sponsor location, the Loews Miami Beach Hotel, located at 1601 Collins Avenue, Miami Beach, FL 33139.

Honey Shine, Inc.’s founder and creative visionary, Tracy Wilson Mourning, is a dynamic woman, wife, mother of three, and entrepreneur.  She is a tireless community activist and leader on a mission to mentor and encourage the balancing of mind, body and soul in young girls and women locally and nationally.

Honey Shine, Inc.’s 2017 honoree is another dynamic woman, Madeleine Arison, whose philanthropic effort from the beginning has provided opportunities for young girls from various sectors of South Florida to participate in several yearlong mentoring programs including the six-week Camp Honey Shine Summer Enrichment program that serves over 200 girls.  Mrs. Arison, the wife of Micky Arison, Chairman of Carnival Corporation and owner of the Miami Heat, is very passionate about the South Florida community and has worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make sure that young girls from under-resourced communities have an opportunity to excel in education.

Honey Shine, Inc is also celebrating its 11th Year of Camp Honey Shine, which has grown from serving 50 to 200 girls in South Florida.  In 2014 Honey Shine, Inc expanded from its local presence in South Florida to a National Organization and Brand that includes mentoring programs in elementary and high schools in Los Angeles, CA, and Dallas, TX.
