Honey Shine welcomes Miami trial lawyer as new board chair with a passion for community service

 

MIAMIFerris_Sabrina_v1 (2), Fla. – Sept. 4, 2014 Tracy Wilson-Mourning’s Honey Shine Mentoring Program welcomes Sabrina Ferris as its new Board Chair. Ferris, a trial lawyer and co-hiring shareholder of the Miami office of international law firm Greenberg Traurig, is prominently known for her focus on products liability and complex commercial litigation. In her new position at Honey Shine, Ferris will focus on addressing and conquering the educational, social, and monetary needs of young women.

 

Ferris is a graduate of the University of Miami’s School of Law She is a litigator who represents major publicly-traded corporations in class action lawsuits and government investigations and served as part of the litigation team representing the U.S. Presidential campaign to George W. Bush in the 2000 election disputes. In addition to Honey Shine, Ferris also serves on the Board of Directors for Diabetes Research Institute Foundation’s Florida Region, the Advisory Board for the Posse Foundation’s Miami Chapter, and as a Committee Member on the Greenberg Traurig United Way.

Ferris added: “I am excited to take my passion for protecting the well-being of others outside of the courtroom and to help Honey Shine with the goal of improving the quality of life for many young women both in South Florida and in other key urban markets.”

 

The timing is perfect as plans are currently underfoot for Wilson-Mourning to expand Honey Shine to other cities, the first of which will be her hometown, Las Vegas, Nevada,
